Investigation: Southwest Private Residence (Jacksonville, NC 28540)
Date: May 17th, 2008
History: The house was built in 1985 by a retired military couple. The husband and wife were
unable to have children, much to their disappointment. They lived in the house untill the husband
sadly passed away, due to cancer, in 2001, and the wife died, also from cancer, in 2004. After
their deaths the house remained vacant until the current homeowners bought the house in July of
2007.
Claims: Since the family's move in, they have had a regular feeling of not being alone. Their
daughter has not been able to sleep in the nursery, although doesn't seem to have a problem
sleeping in other rooms. While in the bedroom, there seems to be someone standing in the
doorway watching them. There has also been a woman seen from outside standing in the front
windo. There has never been a threatening feeling, but just a feeling of someone making their
presense known.
Personal Experiences (Investigators): Eric, Jessica, Sally and Selena came in to
investigate. We set up a camera in various rooms and used digital voice recorders. We also used
EMF (Electromagnetic field) meters throughout the home to check for high levels that could cause
uneasiness. All levels were normal. Things were pretty quiet in the bedrooms while we tried to
capture EVP's (Electronic voice Phenomena). Sally & Jess sat in the living room and sat the EMF
meter on the table and began getting random spikes that we could not determine a source for.
There were also a few cold spots. We never had any negative feeling throughout the night. While
Eric and Selena where in the nursery Eric requested that if anyone was with them that they drain
the energy from the camera's batteries, within about 10 seconds the life of the camera was
drained, and Eric had to go into the living room and get new batteries. About 20 minutes later Eric
and Selena joined Jess and Sally in the living room for some EVP work. Eric again asked for
something to make it's self known by draining energy from the camera or one of the meters in the
room, within 2 minutes the new batteries where dead also.

1. While Eric and sally were in the guest bedroom with the digital voice recorder, they captured an EVP
that sounds like a childs voice saying "You Bitch" click link to hear. YouBitchEvp
2. While Eric and sally were in the guest bedroom with digital voice recorder, they captured an EVP that
sounds like a Heavy Breath, although it didn't come from either of them. click link to hear HeavyBEvp
3. While Eric and Selena set up the voice recorders with them in the nursery and they caught an EVP in
response to Eric's question of Are you mad that we are hear, and then you'll hear Jess and Sally talking
but in it comes the EVP saying "Nooooooo" click link to hear. NoooooEvp
4. This next EVP to us seems to be two voices. It was also caught in the Nursery. We picked up what
sounds to be "Mommy" and then after that we're not sure what the second part is but it sounds like a "B"
lettered word is in it somewhere. click link to hear. MommyEvp
5. This one is of the sound of a child whimpering, but there was no source click link to hear.

6. In this one you'll hear Eric say "If your here with us, speak towards the red light on the recorder" right
after he says us, you'll hear what sounds like someone saying "Yeah" click link to hear. YEAHEvp
Conclusion: After a review of all the evidence and a mixture of all the experiences we can not
say the place is haunted without further investigating to be done. But we can say that we believe
that there is Paranormal activity that could be present... feel free to drop us your inputs and
