Investigation: Richlands Private Residence (Richlands, NC)
Date: January 31st, 2009
History: Richlands has a deep history of being farmland for hundreds of years. The house that
is currently there was built in 1977. Although we have not tracked down written documentation, the
family who had the house built said that there used to be a tenant house were the property before
the house was built. Before the current owners moved in 2005, the house had been vacant for 3
years prior and was remodeled right before they moved in.
Claims: The owners have claimed to see multiple apparitions. One was of a heavy set man
standing in the doorway between the living room and kitchen. He was wearing a t-shirt and blue
jeans. The guy looked at the client then walked out the front door. There has also been a woman in
a white gown/dress. Another male was seen as well, which may have been a man that passed
away, who used to live in the residence. There have been bumps and bangs with no explanation.
Also, things were moved a significant distance in the attic. Their child became much more
apprehensive in the house suddenly, and has claimed to see and talk to a man named "Blue". A
light in the bedroom turned on and off on its own, which was witnessed by the owner.
Personal Experiences (Investigators): The team experienced whistling, tapping on the
door and feelings of a presence. Also, Stephanie though she saw someone in the kitchen.
Evidence: We caught EVP's from both a male and female sounding voice.

Conclusion: We definitely think we caught something. It seems that a woman answered our
questions of gender. We would love the chance to do another investigation here. Feel free to drop
